Chongqing Delegation Secures $3.5M in Deals at Kazakhstan B2B Motorcycle Event

By ZHAN CHEN|Oct 22,2024

Chongqing - At a recent B2B matchmaking event for Kazakhstan motorcycle parts and accessories enterprises, Chongqing Yuzhong's delegation secured $3.5 million in deals and connected with 20 to 30 potential clients per firm.

This event marked Kazakhstan's first specialized fair for auto and motorcycle parts. For many firms in Chongqing Yuzhong District, it was their first venture abroad in search of new market breakthroughs.

With significant orders in hand, the companies expressed optimism about future collaborations and eagerly distributed product samples to local buyers.

"There are tremendous commercial opportunities here, and the results have been significant," said Feng Qiaoming, a representative of Chongqing Gerui Auto & Motorcycle Parts Co., Ltd. Feng's company showcased over 100 products with distinctive strengths that Kazakh customers highly favored.

Feng noted the strong demand from buyers in Kazakhstan, where products no longer popular in China remain in demand. He sees this as a valuable opportunity for China's motorcycle sector to expand into the market.

Feng also emphasized the importance of the fair in connecting supply and demand. In the past, orders were often secured through personal connections or trading firms, resulting in lower prices and limited profits.

Additionally, the rise of the internet had stifled the company's growth. However, the matchmaking event opened new channels of communication, strengthening ties between the motorcycle industries of Chongqing and Kazakhstan. "Attending this fair broadened my global perspective," Feng added.

Feng Renfa, head of the delegation and director of Chongqing City Baisiji Trade Co., Ltd., emphasized the complementary nature of the two markets. Kazakhstan's expansive reach, strong demand, and advanced branding and digitalization align well with Chongqing's motorcycle industry, known for its cost-effectiveness and competitive edge.

"This fair has given a significant boost to our efforts to expand internationally," Feng said. Baisiji's products are already sold in Central Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Africa. More customers are reaching out proactively thanks to the brand's growing influence.

These enterprises are all from Yuzhong District, Chongqing. Zeng Chuanyun, Deputy Director of the Yuzhong District Commerce Committee, noted numerous foreign trade opportunities in the district's 60 wholesale markets.

The fair was a key platform for upgrading Chongqing's motorcycle parts market, contributing to the comprehensive internationalization of traditional industries.
