Chongqing - On October 21, Changan Digital Intelligence Factory was officially unveiled. At the ceremony, Zhu Huarong, Chairman of Changan Automobile, stated that the factory aims for full manufacturing digitalization, using over 40 advanced technologies, including 5G, AI, and digital twins.
The facility uses 5G and industrial IoT technologies to connect production equipment, personnel, materials and process data on a large scale. Changan reports that over 12,000 devices are networked, collecting 1 million data points per second, making it the industry's largest and most efficient factory.
Integrating 5G technology and comprehensive connectivity has resulted in a high level of automated production. The factory boasts over 800 intelligent devices and more than 1,400 robots, with a 100% automation rate for critical processes due to the 5G network.
The factory's over 650 intelligent AGVs form a smart logistics system. Using Huawei Wi-Fi, they operate 80% faster than traditional AGVs, ensuring smooth, efficient movement with no downtime thanks to data caching and seamless transmission.
The factory fully integrates AI, using a self-learning database for autonomous production decisions. AI vision enhances optical inspections, ensuring 100% accuracy in detecting casting dimensions and defects.
With digital twin technology, the factory simulates, analyzes, and optimizes the entire manufacturing process in a virtual environment. This positions it as a leading example of a fully digital twin smart factory, ensuring precise management and production efficiency.
This facility represents Changan’s largest investment to date. It boasts the highest level of intelligence and the most advanced production technology in its new energy vehicle production base. It has an annual production capacity of 280,000 units and features models such as the Avatr 07, Deepal S05, and Qiyuan E07.
