Chongqing - This year marks the 10th anniversary of President Xi Jinping's initiative to build a community with a shared future between China and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and the establishment of the China-CELAC Forum. Chongqing has enriched exchanges with Latin American countries across various sectors in recent years.
"China, an Opportunity: Chongqing Brands" China-Latin America Cultural Exchange Activities kicked off from November 4 to 10 in Lima, Peru, and Sao Paulo, Brazil, to further deepen exchanges and economic cooperation between Chongqing and Latin America.
During this period, a Chongqing delegation will participate in a series of trade, cultural, and academic exchanges, including the 2024 China-Latin America Civilizational Dialogue Conference and "China: An Opportunity, Chongqing Brands" Global Promotion for Latin America.

The foreign language editions of the book series ”Six Views” Series of Chinese Path to Modernization, published by Chongqing Publishing Group, will be launched on November 6 at the 2024 China-Latin America Civilizational Dialogue Conference in Lima. These editions include English and Spanish versions.
The publishing group published the Chinese version of the series in December 2023. The series features contributions from renowned universities and research institutions in China, including the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Northeastern University.
The book series explores the Chinese path to modernization from six aspects: worldview, values, historical view, civilization view, ecological perspective, and view of democracy. It aims to clarify the theoretical and practical innovations of the Chinese path to modernization, highlighting its distinct characteristics, unique advantages, important values, and significant contributions. Combining academic rigor with general accessibility, this series results in a focused, rich, lively, and popular theoretical work.
The launch ceremony for Peru's "China Hour" and "China Audiovisual Month" will take place on November 6 in Peru.
At the event, the Spanish version of The Three-Body Problem, China’s leading science fiction IP, will make its Latin American debut. The international edition of the aerial film A Bird's Eye View of the New Chongqing will also be featured. A photography exhibition showcasing New Chongqing will also be featured.
Meanwhile, Chongqing Masterwork Media Co Ltd will sign a cooperation agreement with Willax TV of Peru and Classic Media China International Co Ltd.

"China: An Opportunity, Chongqing Brands" Global Promotion will commence in Peru on November 5 and continue in Brazil on November 8. It will showcase six key city brands, including "Made-in-Chongqing," "Study in Chongqing," "Invest in Chongqing," and "Scenic Chongqing."
Additionally, there will be a Chongqing city photo exhibition, a tasting of Chongqing Xiaomian, or spicy noodles, and an awarding ceremony for the collaboration between Bridging News and First Eye TV with Latin American media.

The Academy of Dazu Rock Carvings at the 2024 China-Latin America Civilizational Dialogue Conference will present the Dazu Rock carvings' artistic value and the cave culture's protection and utilization, showcasing the latest developments in China's cultural heritage preservation efforts.
The talk aims to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in the cultural heritage sector and to share achievements in heritage preservation. A photography exhibition on Dazu Rock Carvings will also be held at the conference.

The "Land-Sea Promise: China-Latin American Youth Natural Observation Program" will be launched alongside a salon for ecological civilization exchanges between Chinese and Peruvian youth in Lima. During this event, representatives from the Chongqing Luhai International Communication Foundation, NGOs from Argentina and Peru, and local youth will participate in the themed "Eagle Flying City" photography exhibition and join a salon focused on ecological civilization exchanges.
