Chongqing - From October 26 to 28, Chen Lei, President of the Austrian Chinese Tourism Association, led a delegation of 18 leaders from Chinese cultural tourism enterprises across 14 European countries to Chongqing for cultural exchange activities aimed at enhancing the city’s tourism sector.

During their stay, the delegation gained deep insights into Chongqing's rich history and culture, leaving with unforgettable impressions. They visited the world heritage site of Dazu Rock Carvings, where they experienced the allure of cave art. They were amazed by the 8K digital dome films highlighting the site’s digital development. Lili Dong from Amsterdam expressed her profound appreciation for the ancient culture, noting the integration of historical elements with modern technology.

The representatives enjoyed breathtaking night views and sampled local cuisine at the Jialing River Cableway Museum. Liu Xiaohan from Denmark remarked on the remarkable changes in Chongqing over the past 30 years, describing it as a "three-dimensional marvel" compared to other global landmarks.

During a special seminar, the delegation discussed preferential policies for inbound tourism in China and challenges faced by Chinese tour groups traveling to Europe with local tourism leaders. They explored new strategies for enhancing the quality of inbound tourism in Chongqing. This exchange not only served as a platform for promoting cultural tourism but also strengthened communication between Chongqing and key European tourism markets.

With an increasing interest in inbound tourism, Chongqing has recently become one of the top 15 destinations for inbound travelers in China. The city's tourism sector continues to thrive, supported by ongoing efforts to optimize the tourism environment and enhance public services.
