This year's seminar will focus on strengthening cooperation in the information and communications sector. It will bring together representatives from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT), the African Telecommunications Union (ATU), the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL), and other international and regional organizations.

About 200 participants from government agencies, industry, and academic institutions across nearly 20 countries, including China, the UAE, Brazil, France, and Russia, are expected to attend. Tomas Lamanauskas, Deputy Secretary-General of ITU, will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony.

Focused on "Digital Innovation Driving Inclusive and Sustainable Development," the seminar will showcase AI collaboration results from MIIT and ITU. Three sessions will address global spectrum efficiency, universal connectivity, and green digital transformation, with discussions on sustainable space development, digital entrepreneurship, and ICT's role in coordinated digital-green growth. A "Partner2Connect" (P2C) roundtable, technology training, and cultural activities will also be featured.

Established in 1865, ITU is a specialized United Nations agency and the UN's oldest organization. ITU is dedicated to "connecting the unconnected" through international cooperation, advancing information and communication technologies (ICT) to bridge the global digital divide, and supporting sustainable economic and social development worldwide.

The ITU manages global radio spectrum and satellite orbits for seamless wireless communication, sets telecom and ICT standards for network and device interoperability, and supports developing countries with policy and technical assistance to enhance communications technology.
