São Paulo, Brazil – On November 8 local time, the "Seminar on the Theory and Practice of Chinese Modernization" was held in São Paulo, Brazil.
The event, jointly organized by Chongqing Publishing Group and the Mauricio Grabois Foundation, brought together over 40 participants from universities, think tanks, and media outlets from both China and Brazil. The discussions focused on "Jointly Advancing Modernization in the Global South."
Guan Hong, Executive Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, highlighted the Six Perspectives of Chinese Modernization book series published by Chongqing Publishing Group. The series offers a systematic interpretation of the six perspectives that shape Chinese modernization.
Guan also noted that the Spanish and English editions of the series were successfully launched at the recent 2024 China-Latin America Civilizational Dialogue Conference. Plans are already in place to expand the series into more languages soon.
Walter Sorrentino, president of the Mauricio Grabois Foundation, emphasized the importance of the BRICS cooperation mechanism in building a multipolar world order and fostering a shared future for humanity. He stressed that BRICS and China's Belt and Road Initiative offer key opportunities for countries to enhance their development, overcome traditional core-periphery divisions, and challenge imperialist hegemonism.

As the seminar concluded, the exchange of ideas and collaborative agreements underscored the growing partnership between China and Brazil. This ongoing partnership promises to foster greater integration and shared progress in the Global South.
