Chongqing - On November 18, Chongqing Broadcasting Group launched its First Sight TV brand and held an innovation development conference in Chongqing, marking the full-scale launch of its deepening reform initiative. This initiative aims to create a top-tier, nationally recognized, and internationally influential audiovisual new media brand.
Chongqing Broadcasting Group plans to reshape its all-media communication system by reforming its organizational structure, integrating resources, and reorganizing the First Sight and CQNEWS Network. The newly launched First Sight TV will combine the functions of "watch, play, use, and buy" and is set to become a platform for high-quality content aggregation, social governance services, and the application of innovative technologies.
To expand its global influence, First Sight TV plans to establish overseas contact stations in Italy, Peru, Brazil, Singapore, and other countries and set up reporter stations in key cities across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
Guan Hong, Party Secretary and Director of Chongqing Broadcasting Group, stated that through these reforms, the group aims to enhance its communication power, leadership, credibility, and overall strength. The goal is to rank among one of China's top 10 provincial radio and TV stations by 2027 and fully establish itself as a first-class new media group.
At the conference, the Bank of China and Bank of Chongqing signed a 2 billion yuan (about 276.4 million USD) credit agreement with Chongqing Broadcasting Group, providing strong financial support for the reform.
