This release aligns with the China-Europe Railway Express surpassing 100,000 trips and the accelerated development of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC). According to the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area FTZ People's Court, the published cases showcase innovative, exemplary, and precedent-setting rulings. They aim to enrich the legal framework for international logistics and trade, providing a robust legal foundation to support the region’s integration into the development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the ILSTC.

The Top 10 Cases, presented in Chinese and English, cover key areas in international logistics, including multimodal transport, international rail freight, air cargo, freight forwarding, international goods sales, import-export credit insurance, and subrogation claims.

Key rulings cover defining liability in container transport damage, clarifying railway waybill transfer rules, addressing the legal impact of e-commerce policies, establishing international treaty application guidelines, setting standards for cross-border goods, and supporting innovative inland trade insurance approaches.

Yang Lixia, the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area FTZ People’s Court, highlighted the release as a milestone in deepening cooperation under the Chongqing-Sichuan FTZ Court Collaborative Framework. Future efforts will focus on dispute resolution, legal service alliances, cross-jurisdictional law ascertainment, and cloud-based trials.

Chen Bing, the Primary People’s Court of Tianfu New Area (FTZ) of Sichuan Province, emphasized the initiative’s role in unifying judicial standards for international logistics, supporting industry regulation, and providing judicial backing for the development of BRI and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
