CCI is the third intergovernmental cooperation project between China and Singapore, focusing on four key areas: financial services, aviation, transportation logistics, and information communication.

The consortium's main goal is to explore effective pathways for digital enterprises to venture overseas within the CCI's cooperation framework. It also seeks to support Chongqing-based companies in expanding their presence in international markets while enhancing global competitiveness in a risk-controlled environment.

"Digital infrastructure is a crucial area of cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)," said Liu Shengchao, Level II Bureau Rank Official of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce.

He pointed out that under the new development strategy, which emphasizes a dual circulation model- focusing on domestic macro-cycles while promoting domestic and international cycles in tandem- the construction of the Digital Silk Road has become a prominent investment focus. As a key hub in Western China's development and the BRI, Chongqing plays a pivotal role in this process.

"The establishment of the Chongqing Digital Enterprises Overseas Consortium is both timely and significant," Liu stated. "It serves as an essential platform for Chongqing's digital enterprises to expand internationally and enter global markets, and marks a major step forward in the city's global economic engagement."

The consortium has welcomed its first batch of members, including local digital enterprises with strong technology, product capabilities, international expansion experience, and foreign-invested companies. These members will collaborate by sharing resources such as technology, market access, and talent, enhancing their competitiveness and jointly developing new products and services.

At the event, Sangfor Technologies, Chongqing Zhongyou Information Technology Group Co., Ltd., and China Unicom Chongqing signed strategic cooperation agreements focusing on technology, market access, and resource sharing to support the global growth of Chongqing's digital enterprises.

Representatives of China Unicon Global, AllBright Law Offices, and Western China International Communication Organization delivered keynote speeches emphasizing the consortium's commitment to empowering local enterprises on their international journeys.
