Chongqing - Changan Automobile launched its 2025 Global Partner Conference in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area on December 29, 2024. President Wang Jun announced the company’s goal to reach 3 million annual sales and over 300 billion yuan (USD 41.1 billion) in revenue, with one million units expected to come from international markets.
Wang emphasized that Changan Automobile aims to strengthen overseas collaborations comprehensively. Together with international partners, they will enhance cooperation in vehicle production, sales, and other areas, exploring more cost-effective and efficient business models.
Changan Automobile’s partners from Pakistan, Laos, Cambodia, and other countries attended the conference. Regarding market sales, Vall Somaly, a Cambodian partner, said that Changan's models are popular on Cambodian social media and are now focusing on digital marketing.
The partners also discussed their cooperation models and Changan Automobile's market performance in their countries. They rank eighth in Laos' passenger car market share according to 2024 data.
Malik said that Changan Automobile is one of the fastest-growing brands in Pakistan. He added, "In the last five years, we've sold 50,000 units, and we aim to be among the top three brands in Pakistan and the number one Chinese brand in the country."
Another Pakistani partner, Hassan Iqbal, mentioned that Changan has a deep understanding of market needs. Changan's new energy vehicles are equipped with more comprehensive and intelligent features, such as ADAS Autopilot and HMIs, which greatly appeal to Pakistani consumers.
At the conference, Zhu Huarong, Chairman of Changan Automobile, outlined five key overseas milestones for 2025. These include launching production at the Rayong plant in Thailand, introducing Changan to Europe, starting automobile components production in the CIS regions like Kazakhstan, establishing a subsidiary in Brazil, and fully launching Changan, Deepal, and Avatr brands in the Middle East and Africa.
