Chongqing - On January 1, 2025, the Chongqing Border Inspection Station, in collaboration with Chongqing Jiangbei Airport Co Ltd, officially launched an online self-declaration platform for foreign arrival cards.

The new platform aims to streamline the entry process for foreign nationals arriving at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. Passengers traveling internationally can now pre-fill their foreign entry card details online before arriving at the airport. Upon arrival, they can directly print the arrival card at the border inspection site, significantly reducing the time spent filling out the forms at the airport and improving the overall efficiency of the entry process.

"I filled out the information before my flight, and when I arrived in Chongqing, I simply scanned the QR code to get my arrival card," said a foreign passenger at Jiangbei International Airport on January 2. "Previously, we had to fill out the card manually, and mistakes were common. With just a QR scan, the arrival card prints out automatically in seconds. It's much more convenient."

The platform supports various declaration methods, including QR codes and mini-programs, and is available in multiple languages. Passengers can use their smartphones to fill out the forms. After the first submission, the system stores commonly used information for future entries, automatically pre-filling the details for quicker processing.

In recent years, the Chongqing Border Inspection Station has introduced various measures to improve service efficiency, including full support for electronic boarding passes, ensuring the timely departure of outbound flights, and establishing dedicated zones for visa-free transit processing.
