Chongqing - In 2024, Tesla produced 1.773 million electric vehicles (EVs) and delivered 1.789 million worldwide. In Chongqing, deliveries rose 10% year-on-year, with the number of Tesla owners increasing by 40%.
By early December 2024, Tesla had set up 60 supercharging stations in Chongqing, covering the southeastern area of the city. The company had previously established stations in Wulong, Qianjiang, Shizhu, and Fengdu.

Tesla is actively expanding its supercharging network in Chongqing, with V3 superchargers delivering 250kW peak power. These chargers provide a 250-kilometer range in just 15 minutes.
According to a Tesla representative, the company will soon expand its charging network by focusing on user needs and strategically installing new charging stations in high-traffic areas.
Tesla will launch several V3 supercharging stations this year, located in key business areas across Banan, Wanzhou, Yongchuan, Nanchuan, Jiulongpo, and Fengjie. These stations aim to provide convenient, fast charging while encouraging drivers to shop and enjoy seamless services.
Tesla entered the Chongqing market in 2018, opening 17 retail stores, including the world’s first Gigafactory-themed store and Southwest China's largest multi-functional experience store. These facilities are key to Tesla's expansion strategy in China and support the country's shift to renewable energy.
On the national front, Tesla released its 2024 global production and delivery report on January 2. The data revealed that in Q4 2024, Tesla produced around 459,000 EVs and delivered more than 495,000 vehicles. The company also installed 11.0 GWh of energy storage products, setting new records for both EV deliveries and energy storage product installations.
According to the China Automobile Dealers Association, Tesla's annual sales surpassed 657,000 units in 2024, marking an 8.8% year-on-year increase and setting a new record for the company.
The data highlights Tesla's ongoing expansion of its charging network. In 2024, the company added over 11,500 supercharging stations worldwide, a 19% increase from the previous year, bringing the total to more than 67,000 stations. This growth reflects Tesla's dedication to advancing EV adoption on a global scale. With plans to further expand its network in 2025, Tesla continues to innovate and enhance accessibility, reinforcing its leadership in sustainable transportation.
