Chongqing - The 2025 Spring Festival travel rush, known as Chunyun, officially began on Tuesday and will last 40 days until February 22. Transportation authorities estimate that cross-regional passenger flow will reach an unprecedented 9 billion trips, marking a historic high. Railways are expected to handle over 510 million trips, with a daily average of 12.75 million, reflecting a 5.5% increase from last year.

In preparation for this massive migration, railway departments across the country have conducted comprehensive maintenance, cleaning, and inspections to ensure the safety and efficiency of train operations during this peak period. Let's take a look at the first day of Chunyun through photos!
