Chongqing - A group of ten Indonesian influencers, who have amassed over a million followers on platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, visited Southwest China's Chongqing from February 13 to 16 for a sightseeing tour.
They captured the city's mesmerizing charm through photos and videos, which they will share on their social media accounts to promote Chongqing to a global audience.

On February 13, the influencers arrived in Chongqing and were immediately captivated by the city's unique skyline, featuring a mix of towering skyscrapers and the scenic beauty of its mountains and rivers.
At the Hongyadong Scenic Area, with its breathtaking night views, two Indonesian content creators, Maria Asteria Sastrayu Rahajeng and Elizabeth Krisansia S Rahajeng, shared, "My first impression of Chongqing was that I didn't realize it was this big. There are so many skyscrapers, and the infrastructure is really interesting. It's stunning at night with all the lights. The city has so much energy, and I love the vibrant colors and the atmosphere," said Maria. Elizabeth added, "It's my first time here, and I can't believe how beautiful it is. The view is absolutely stunning, and the nightlife is amazing.”
The group continued on February 14 with a "Citywalk" through Chongqing's iconic spots. They marveled at the Liziba Monorail, which passes through a building and explored the modern shopping experience at The Ring Shopping Park, blending nature with urban design. In the Sichuan Fine Art Institution cultural area, the influencers captured vibrant street art and murals while sipping tea at a traditional tea house to soak in the local vibe.
Indonesian influencer Kyra Nayda shared, "Chongqing feels like a city straight out of a movie, with a unique mix of modern technology and old-school charm. I've never seen anything like it. The Hongya Cave is so beautiful, and people are already going crazy about it after I posted pictures online."
Cindy Karmoko, another Indonesian influencer, expressed her love for the city, "I love how big it is, with so many beautiful places. The transportation is great, and I love the cooler weather. Chongqing is known for its hot pot, but it has so much more to offer, from beautiful landmarks to incredible food."
The influencers also explored Chongqing's mountainous terrain and the iconic 8D magical experiences, including a cableway ride across the Yangtze River and visits to the 18-step ancient alleys that define the city's famous "mountain city" landscape.

On February 16, the last day of their tour, the influencers ventured to the Gongtan ancient town in Youyang County, where they experienced ethnic minority culture and took a boat tour along the scenic Wujiang River.

As the trend of visa-free travel continues to expand in China, Chongqing has seen a 203% increase in inbound tourism bookings during the 2025 Spring Festival, positioning the city as a leading destination for overseas visitors.
