Chongqing - The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development recently released the 2025 Spring Flower Viewing Map and ten themed spring travel routes, inviting citizens and tourists to embark on a dazzling spring flower-viewing journey.
In Tongnan District, the Chen Tuan Hometown Rapeseed Flower Scenic Area is renowned for its rapeseed fields. The area features innovative plantings of colorful and space-bred rapeseed, allowing visitors to enjoy the stunning views from land, water, and air.
During the rapeseed flower season, the area hosts a variety of activities, including flower sea tours, tea houses, markets, night concerts, light shows, and local delicacies, offering an unforgettable experience.

At the Yunlin Tianxiang Scenic Area atop Tianping Mountain, the lakeside rapeseed fields bloom from mid-February to late March, offering a picturesque view of golden flowers reflecting on the water. The area also hosts the Flower Festival every weekend in March and a Kite Fantasy Park event from March to April, immersing visitors in a joyful atmosphere.
The Colorful Botanical Garden features spring red maples, cherry blossoms, and multicolored rapeseed flowers, creating a vibrant display from mid-March to May.

At the confluence of the Yangtze and Qijiang rivers, the Jiangxiaobai· Huangzhuang Scenic Area boasts a golden sea of rapeseed flowers, complemented by shows, magic performances, and hotpot feasts under the stars. The Maoshan Cherry Blossom Garden, with its 8,000 rare cherry trees and 80,000 bougainvillea plants, offers a unique blend of tea fields and cherry blossoms.

In Shapingba District, the Hongling Valley is a top destination for flower enthusiasts, featuring a stunning display of tulips, violets, snapdragons, and poppies. The tulip season runs from February to March, and a lantern festival is open until March 20.

Nestled in the city's outskirts, a pristine secondary forest hides 500,000 tulips blooming quietly among pine and cypress trees. Meanwhile, the Taishiya Forest Park is another must-visit spot, where over 50 tulip varieties will bloom in mid-March. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant tulip displays, explore lush flower fields, and immerse themselves in the park's natural beauty, including ecological water features and forest adventures.
The Peony and Cherry Blossom World in Dianjiang showcases over 100 varieties of peonies, 40 types of cherry blossoms, and 60 varieties of roses, with the best viewing period from March to May. The Kaizhi Peak Tourism Area, Southwest China's largest peony planting base, offers thrilling experiences like cliffside peony viewing and jungle adventures.
