Chongqing - The Chongqing Blue Sky Rescue Team set off on Sunday, traveling through Kunming to the earthquake-affected areas in Myanmar to participate in rescue operations.

Led by team leader Luo Mingwen, the team is equipped with specialized rescue equipment, including a satellite ground station, radar life detection devices, thermal imaging drones, hydraulic rescue tools, and essential supplies. They will carry out search and rescue missions, medical support, and other tasks.

Two descendants of a distinguished rescue dog, "Xiao Shandian" and "Xiao Lantian", will accompany the team.

These second-generation dogs inherit the exceptional genes of their parent, "Shandian", who previously participated in the rescue efforts in the Jishishan earthquake in Gansu province. Having previously located multiple trapped individuals during disaster relief in Xizang, they were praised for their keen sense of smell and efficient performance.

For this international mission, they will play a role in tasks such as life detection in rubble. The team has already conducted simulated training in preparation for the complex environment of the earthquake zone, ensuring efficient collaboration between the dogs and their human handlers.
