Chongqing’s Dazzling Drone Light Show

Chongqing - In April, Chongqing unveiled its dazzling "Glamorous Chongqing" drone light show, featuring thousands of drones illuminating the night sky above the city's iconic Two Rivers and Four Banks. Officially launched on April 19, the show will run every Saturday and on holidays, totaling around 90 days a year. Combining synchronized drone choreography with coordinated building lights, it creates an immersive audiovisual spectacle that aims to become a new cultural tourism landmark for the city.

During the trial run, local influencer Ryan marveled, "Thousands of drums appeared in the sky. You never know where they came from. It's all about precision. It's all about sophistication." Canadian anchor Alex Reporterfy from WCICO also praised the show, noting, "Chongqing now elevates urban tourism with this luminous gift to the world. This is where industry meets imagination."

On April 19, the opening day, Director An Lijia revealed that the debut performance showcased "12 dynamic scenes depicting the happy daily life of Chongqing people," including the pulsating "City Rhythm" of its 8D magical landscape, the "Aerial Ballet" of cable cars, and poetic urban symbols like banyan trees and camellias.

The following night (April 20), over 200 international guests, including political leaders, diplomats, and business representatives from 50+ countries, attended the "Chongqing Night" event at the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Hall. Portuguese journalist Pedro Fernandes of Avante! remarked, "A show of this level I never saw something like this. It's really impressive. It really tells you that Chongqing is on the next level."

With cutting-edge technology and artistic storytelling, Chongqing's drone spectacle has set a new benchmark for urban performances, captivating both locals and the world.
