Chongqing- The first all-English international broadcast program in Chongqing, the 105th episode of "Let's Meet," titled “Exploring Mountain City: A British Couple's Journey”, jointly produced by the Western China International Communication Organization and Chongqing Satelite TV, will be aired on both domestic and international media on May 10.
Reanne and Ben, travel bloggers from the UK, are the creators of the YouTube channel "On Tour With Dridgers." They are known as "OTWD" on Chinese platforms and have over 200,000 followers across the internet. Over the past three years, they have traveled to 63 countries worldwide and visited China for the first time last summer. The modern amenities like high-speed trains and mobile payments, along with the warm hospitality of the Chinese people, have provided them with a perspective on China that contrasts starkly with Western media reports. They have now released over 40 travel videos about China on platforms like YouTube and Instagram, dedicated to showcasing the real face of China. Recently, they traveled to the mountainous city of Chongqing for an unforgettable journey.
Next, they took an autonomous vehicle to the Great Wall Motor Chongqing Smart Factory in Yongchuan, where they explored the production line and closely observed the intricate process of car manufacturing, experiencing the technological marvel of "Made in China." Additionally, they visited the Lehe Ledu Theme Park, where they interacted closely with the adorable red pandas, capturing delightful moments with the animals.
In the interview with Alex, OTWD expressed their profound impression of Chongqing. The spicy and aromatic hot pot, the friendly locals, and the blend of tradition and modernity in the cityscape left them in awe. They particularly enjoyed the unique spicy ice cream, which has become a cherished memory of Chongqing. Looking ahead, they plan to reside in China and explore all 34 provinces and autonomous regions, deeply experiencing the local culture and customs.
OTWD enthusiastically shared their Chongqing adventures on social media, especially their visit to the car factory, which allowed viewers to appreciate China's automotive manufacturing prowess directly.
