Shenzhen - The 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), the country's largest cultural expo, kicked off on May 22nd in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. It featured over 120,000 cultural products from more than 6,000 exhibitors.
A major highlight of this fair is how technology empowers the cultural industry, but I noticed something even more intriguing. Children seemed far more engaged than adults. Whether occupying front-row seats at performances or diving into interactive displays, they were everywhere, fully immersed.
One standout moment was when the youngest exhibitor demonstrated a pair of smart glasses capable of translating 26 languages—including Japanese and English—to elderly visitors.
It made me pause and wonder: How do these young attendees see the future unfolding around them?
