The light show showcased Chongqing's iconic mountain scenery, historical landmarks, and lively atmosphere, with highlights like "Mountain City," "Camellia Blooming," and "Vibrant City." Known as the "8D magical city," Chongqing's complex terrain posed significant challenges for the event.

Qin Haiqun, deputy general manager of Shenzhen DAMODA Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd., which provided technical support for the show, shared the difficulties they faced: "We had to adjust for high and low terrains, manage signal transmission over long distances, and synchronize multiple base stations to ensure a flawless display."

This remarkable achievement was made possible by the team's previous collaboration with Chongqing, which began in 2025 during the Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival. Since then, the city has become a regular partner, with the drone light show enhancing its iconic nighttime skyline.

Diplomats from various countries, including Japan and Italy, also attended the event, praising the city's growing international recognition. Takada Mari, Consul-General of Japan in Chongqing, congratulated the city, remarking, "Tomorrow marks the 28th anniversary of Chongqing's designation as a municipality directly under the central government. The drone show is a fantastic gift."

Mari also noted a noticeable increase in foreign visitors in Chongqing, particularly around Jiefangbei. She attributes this surge to China's visa-free policy, as well as similar measures for citizens from other countries. At the same time, Chongqing's rising global appeal is being amplified through films, TV shows, and videos, further capturing the interest of foreign tourists.

Fabio Schina, Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, also expressed admiration, saying, "This show is awe-inspiring. It gives Chongqing an excellent opportunity to enhance its international profile and showcase its low-altitude economy. I invite global audiences to visit this beautiful and vibrant city, where they will surely enjoy the people, the culture, and the food."

Starting April 19, 2025, Chongqing hosted regular "Charming Chongqing" drone light shows along its two rivers- the Yangtze River and the Jialing River. The shows take place weekly and on special holidays. Each month, new themes will be introduced, featuring 15-minute aerial displays that showcase the city's unique landscapes and culture.
