Chongqing -On August 19-20, 1940, the Japanese army carried out a horrific bombing campaign on the main urban area of Chongqing. American journalist Rey Scott risked his life to capture the entire process of the "8·19" Bombing of Chongqing on film. Over the 85 years that followed, this footage was lost, searched for, and painstakingly restored. Now, 85 years later, following a high-definition restoration by the Western China International Communication Organization, this color footage of the bombing has been released to the public for the first time, making a stunning debut.
