Chongqing—The first all-English international broadcast program in Chongqing, the 135th episode of "Let’s Meet, "titled " Chongqing Footprints on Maasai Mara," aired on both domestic and international media on August 23. It was jointly produced by the Western China International Communication Organization and Chongqing Satellite TV.


 Chongqing Footprints on Maasai Mara (Part 1)

During the season when the "The Crossing of Mara River" phenomenon occurs in the Maasai Mara savanna of Kenya, two young people from Chongqing originally set out to operate a hotel but unexpectedly became "Chinese fathers" to 29 African girls who had dropped out of school. This episode of "Bridging News" will focus on the story of these two Chongqing youths, who established a shelter in Kenya, initiated the construction of a school, and brought Chinese vocational education concepts to the local community. Through their actions, they are protecting a habitat where humans and animals coexist, spreading warmth across Africa.

Chongqing's Stunning Showcase at the Osaka Expo

Recently, Chongqing made an appearance at the China Pavilion of the Osaka Expo, promoting in-depth exchanges between Chongqing and Japanese enterprises in areas such as manufacturing and cultural tourism. This episode of "iChongqing" will showcase the impressive presence of the Chongqing delegation at the China Pavilion, highlighting the unique blend of traditional culture and modern technology in the exhibition area, as well as the achievements in collaboration and connection. Viewers will get to appreciate the charm of Chongqing enterprises on the international stage.

World Martial Arts Champion: China is Still the Place to Learn Wushu

Jia Rui, a world martial arts champion raised in Macau, chose to establish the International Wushu Champion Academy in Chongqing, developing it into an important platform for spreading Chinese culture. This episode of "Faces of Chongqing" will focus on Jia Rui and his academy, showcasing how it provides professional-level martial arts guidance, conveys the charm of martial arts, and draws global competitors and enthusiasts for further study.

This week, "Trending Chongqing" will report on global hotspots related to Chongqing. Thanks to its unique "vertical wonder," Chongqing has risen beyond the limitations of its mountainous terrain, attracting attention from overseas media. Domestically, major official media outlets like CGTN and People's Daily are focusing on the "Xinjiang-to-Chongqing power transmission" project, showcasing the emission reduction results achieved in the two months since its implementation and highlighting the effectiveness of energy corridor construction. Additionally, a popular influencer on platform X, @Rainmker1973, with 2.9 million followers, posted a tweet displaying the treacherous terrain of the Wuxi Lingpaishi Mountain Road, Chongqing, garnering over 730,000 views and 4,900 likes, drawing attention from overseas netizens to Chongqing.

"Let’s Meet" airs every Wednesday and Saturday at 6 PM on Chongqing Satellite TV. It is also simultaneously released on the Let’s Meet official WeChat Channels, the Bridging News app, iChongqing website, Facebook and YouTube channels, WCICO’s global communication matrix platform, and Chongqing Satellite TV’s new media matrix.
