Chongqing- Showcasing the modern face of Chongqing, presenting the intangible cultural heritage of Shu embroidery, and envisioning futuristic, technology-driven transportation—since its launch, the 2025 global recruitment for the "Land-Sea International Youth Envoys" program has ignited excitement across primary schools, secondary schools, and universities throughout the city. Students have eagerly submitted creative works in the form of paintings, videos, and essays, reflecting their imagination and cultural understanding. The recruitment runs until September 20, with more young participants welcome to join.
With the theme "Seeking Unity Across Lands and Seas," the program was officially launched in June this year. It has attracted widespread participation from schools at all levels in Chongqing, and the organizing committee has already received nearly 1000 submissions. Entries will be evaluated by an expert panel based on four criteria: content quality, language expression, creativity and influence, and additional merits. No more than 1000 participants will ultimately be awarded the title of "Land-Sea International Youth Envoy," along with an official certificate. Selected Envoys will also gain exclusive opportunities to participate in online cross-cultural dialogues and the annual conference.
Among the submissions, young participants have showcased both boundless imagination and deep reflections on culture, technology, and the future. Feng Shiqi from Nanping Experimental Primary School created a painting, envisioning a united global family—children from different nations holding hands, reading together in a "cloud library," riding rainbow trains to plant trees in deserts, and feeding penguins in Antarctica. Chen Xien from Caiyun Lake Forest Primary School produced a video in English, introducing the modern yet magical "8D Chongqing" and extending a warm invitation to the world. Jia Minghan from Chongqing Science City Huigu Primary School shared an essay describing the dream of becoming an engineer in Science Valley, designing an eco-friendly robot that greets the world with "Welcome to the Future!"—making technology a vital force for coexistence and shared civilization.
The "Land-Sea International Youth Envoys" brand project was jointly launched in May 2024 by the Western China International Communication Organization (WCICO) and Chongqing Land-Sea Media Co., Ltd. It aims to build a global and diverse youth exchange platform, encouraging young people to learn in practice and grow through collaboration with an open and sincere attitude —ultimately becoming envoys of cultural dialogue and lasting friendship.
