Chongqing—This fall, CapitaLand Development (China) has joined forces with leading fitness technology brand Keep to launch the nationwide “Feel Free to Run” Challenge, which will run from October 15 to November 8, 2025.
The campaign invites runners across China to experience the rhythm of their cities through custom-designed urban routes, online challenges, and a signature vertical challenge — all of which encourage participants to embrace a free, active lifestyle.

As an extension of CapitaLand Development’s annual brand theme “feel free to__”, the initiative seeks to inspire city dwellers to go beyond physical boundaries, reconnect with themselves, and rediscover urban vitality through movement.
“This challenge marks our shift from a space creator to a lifestyle enabler,” said Ben Lee, CEO of CapitaLand Development (China). “We aim to go beyond building physical environments to shaping communities where people can live freely, move actively, and grow together.”

Beginning October 15, CapitaLand Development will set up "Runner Stations" across 11 landmark properties in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Wuhan, and Suzhou. Each location offers customized routes inspired by local culture and landmarks — from riverside trails to scenic parks — encouraging participants to reconnect with the rhythm of city life.
Custom running routes across seven cities and eleven projects.
Runners who complete the designated routes can collect special rewards at the Runner Stations and share their experiences online for a chance to win exclusive merchandise. The top runner from each city will earn a sponsored trip to Chongqing to join the Vertical Marathon Finals on November 8.
The online "Feel Free to Run" challenge brings the event to a nationwide audience via the Keep App, eliminating time and space limits. Participants can choose among 3.5 km, 4.2 km, and 11.78 km goals, which symbolize the height of Raffles City Chongqing’s ten towers, the number of floors, and the total number of steps in the vertical challenge, respectively.
Participants will be eligible for prizes by logging their runs and achieving milestones on the Keep app, transforming every run into a moment of celebration.
The event culminates with the 3rd Raffles City Chongqing Vertical Challenge, set for November 8. 400 elite and amateur runners will tackle 42 floors and 1,178 steps to reach the iconic Exploration Deck·Viewing Gallery, known as the "horizontal skyscraper."
