Chongqing—On October 16, the three flagship exhibitions of the 14th China Art Festival—National Outstanding Fine Arts, Calligraphy and Seal Engraving, and Photography—launched in Chongqing. They showcase over 1,100 works that collectively highlight the latest achievements, evolving spirit, and new heights in Chinese fine arts. The National Outstanding Fine Arts Exhibition is hosted at the Art Museum of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, the Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Exhibition at the Chongqing Art Museum, and the Photography Exhibition at the Sichuan Art Museum.

With cohesive themes and diverse content, these exhibitions weave a rich and dynamic portrait of our times through multiple artistic forms, vividly conveying the progressive and inspired spirit of the era. Watercolor and Gouache: Lü Jie's "The Crimson Ridge"
Printmaking: Kang Ning's "Wenchuan! Wenchuan!"
The exhibitions bring together works selected through open submissions, recommendations, and special invitations. They feature more than 510 fine arts pieces, over 320 calligraphy and seal engravings, and close to 290 photographic works. Chongqing is strongly represented with 61 selected entries—33 fine arts works, nine calligraphy and seal engravings, and 19 photographs.

These works reflect Chongqing artists' deep commitment to rooting their work in the lives of everyday people. As a vibrant hub of Chinese art, Chongqing continues to harness the power of brush and ink, chisel and stone, and the camera lens to document a changing era, carry forward traditional Chinese culture, and express the unique charm of "Majestic Landscape, Dynamic Chongqing."
