Chongqing-The first all-English international broadcast program in Chongqing, the 172nd year-end special episode of "Let's Meet," titled “Across Mountains and Seas, the World Meets in Chongqing”, jointly produced by the Western China International Communication Organization and Chongqing Satellite TV, will be aired on both domestic and international media on December 31.

As the year 2025 draws to a close, Chongqing’s connections with the world are growing closer, more prosperous, and more dynamic than ever before. This expanding “world map” is built through real conversations, partnerships, and encounters. As a key platform for Chongqing’s global storytelling, the WCICO has been closely following the city’s journey onto the international stage. So in 2025, what new points were added to Chongqing’s world map? In the episode of Let's Meet 2025 Year-End Special, we’ll follow five clear routes, cross five continents, and unfold Chongqing’s World Map together.

The Americas: Where Film, Culture, and Tourism Converge

We begin by heading east, across the Pacific, to the Americas — where exchange is vibrant and emotional. A classic film, KUKAN, returned to the Oscars, reviving a shared chapter of history. Meanwhile, NBA superstar Stephen Curry and top influencer Speed brought Chongqing’s modern energy straight into the global spotlight. In this special episode, let’s start with these moments that connected Chongqing and the Americas.

Europe: Shared Thinking on Sustainable Cities

Turning east, we cross the Asian continent and arrive in Europe. As China–EU relations mark their 50th anniversary, cooperation has moved beyond trade toward a deeper exchange of ideas. City officials from Liverpool visited Chongqing, praising its 8D transport system while sharing lessons from their own urban transformation. At World Cities Day events, European scholars joined conversations on how cities can become greener, smarter, and more livable. In this special episode, let’s hear from Europe.

Asia: Connectivity Put into Practice

Looking south, Asia comes into focus at a meaningful moment: 35 years of China–Singapore diplomatic relations. In Singapore, the Land–Sea Economic Forum brought together leaders and scholars to explore pathways for connectivity. In addition, Chongqing hosted the China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation Forum, assembling diverse minds to pave the way for economic prosperity through legal frameworks. In this special episode, let's dive into the practices of connectivity in Asia.

West Asia and North Africa: A New Chapter of Civilizational Exchange

Heading west again, we arrive in West Asia and North Africa, regions shaped by some of the world’s oldest civilizations. In 2025, China–Arab exchanges gained new momentum. The China-Arab States Broadcasting and Television Cooperation Forum built bridges through media, while the Arab League Ambassador’s visit to Chongqing focused on practical industrial cooperation. And the dialogue between the civilizations of the Yangtze River and the Nile ignites new sparks of wisdom. In this special episode, let’s explore this new chapter of cultural exchange.

Oceania: New Connections, Fresh Perspectives

Finally, we head south to Oceania. Here, exchange is about rediscovery and new beginnings. Australian delegation saw a Chongqing that challenged old perceptions — dynamic, innovative, and open. At the Chongqing International Travel Agent Conference, Chongqing and Fiji signed new cooperation agreements, opening fresh pathways for tourism and cultural exchange across the South Pacific. Chongqing’s global circle continues to expand.

From creative crossovers in the Americas, to shared thinking in Europe, from deep connectivity in Asia, to cultural dialogue in Africa, and on to new partnerships in Oceania, each story adds a new point to Chongqing’s world map. As a major storyteller of this journey, the WCICO continues to present Chongqing’s global engagement with care and clarity — helping the world hear Chongqing’s voice and see its forward momentum. This map has no borders, and its story is still unfolding.

We look forward to an even broader chapter ahead.

"Let's Meet" airs every Wednesday and Saturday at 6 PM on Chongqing Satellite TV. It is also simultaneously released on the Let's Meet official WeChat Channels, Bridging News app, iChongqing website, Facebook and YouTube channel, WCICO's global communication matrix platform, and Chongqing Satellite TV's new media matrix.
