Held under the theme "AI + Advanced Hardware," the exhibition integrates displays, interactive experiences, science education, and hands-on activities, presenting a multidimensional technology experience across the sea, land, air, and space domains. The expo will run through March 3, coinciding with the winter vacation and Spring Festival holiday period.
Departing from traditional static exhibitions, the event emphasizes interactivity and participation. Exhibition zones include an AI technology hall, sea-land-air equipment model displays, immersive experience areas and themed entertainment sections. Nearly 100 high-fidelity equipment models are on display, along with more than 30 interactive programs, allowing visitors to engage directly with advanced technologies through operation, dialogue and simulation.

The AI exhibition zone features large, highly realistic robots such as Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, while Unitree humanoid robots and bionic robotic dogs roam the venue as "technology guides," interacting with visitors and performing choreographed dance and martial arts routines. A robot soccer competition demonstrates high-speed decision-making and coordination powered by artificial intelligence. In the drone performance area, coordinated flight formations and dynamic lighting effects showcase the visual impact of AI-enabled swarm control systems.
A highlight of the expo is the debut in Chongqing of several 1:1 scale models of major national defense equipment, including the J-16 and J-35 fighter jets, Wing Loong unmanned aerial vehicle, VT-4 main battle tank, DF-61 missile, and HQ-9 missile launch vehicle. Together, they form one of the city's largest and highest-profile national defense science exhibitions to date.

Visitors can command robotic dogs, compete against AI chess robots, drive miniature tanks, ride in armored vehicles and operate high-fidelity flight simulators. An immersive space exploration zone allows visitors to try on astronaut suits and experience simulated lunar and Martian environments, offering a realistic glimpse into space missions.

To strengthen the educational component, the organizers will host a series of science lectures and interactive sessions led by experts throughout the exhibition period. Special Spring Festival activities, including themed celebrations such as "Fortune Bringer" events, are also planned to create a festive, technology-focused holiday atmosphere.
According to the organizers, the exhibition spans approximately 20,000 square meters and aims to make frontier technologies—particularly artificial intelligence—more accessible through interactive, engaging formats, inspiring curiosity and innovation among the public, especially young people.
The expo is now open to the public, welcoming residents, technology enthusiasts, and families to experience a science-driven journey blending innovation, education, and entertainment.
