Chongqing-The first all-English international broadcast program in Chongqing, the 193rd episode of "Let's Meet," titled “China’s Two Sessions: Chongqing’s Leap Forward”, jointly produced by the Western China International Communication Organization and Chongqing Satellite TV, will be aired on both domestic and international media on March 14.

China's Two Sessions have just concluded. As a key city in western China, Chongqing drew significant attention from the media and the public during the meetings. In this special episode of Let's Meet, we revisit the “Chongqing stories” from this year's Two Sessions—from the lively Open Day, to the voices of deputies and advisors, and even the five-year plans of ordinary citizens—showing the openness and confidence of this city.

Chongqing Delegation Open Day Draws Global Media Focus on Consumption, Autos, and Industry

On March 6, the Chongqing delegation held an open meeting. Although 100 seats were originally arranged for journalists, 175 reporters eventually attended, including 30 from overseas media. Topics of interest included the auto industry, consumption recovery, and the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. Deputies' responses highlighted Chongqing's vitality and potential as a key economic hub in western China.

Yin Qilong: I Am a Taxi Driver and an NPC Deputy

Among the Chongqing deputies is a special figure, taxi driver Yin Qilong. Every day, he navigates the city's streets and alleys. From the “two-hour transportation circle” to the “15-minute high-quality living service circle,” he has personally experienced the improvement in urban mobility and quality of life. Driving what locals call the “Yellow Ferrari,” he takes pride in witnessing Chongqing's continuous progress.

Will Foreign Friends Also Do the Five-Year Plan?

For Chinese people, the Five-Year Plan is not only a national blueprint but also closely tied to daily life. On the streets of Chongqing, we asked foreign friends from around the world about their own five-year plans—some want to learn Chinese, others plan to start businesses or travel across China. When “Plan” crosses cultures, it becomes concrete and vivid.

AIGC Animation: Chongqing's Leap Forward

At the end of this episode, we present an AI-generated creative animation titled “Ascent of Chongqing.” It traces the city's past, present, and future—from old docks to smart ports, from mountain alleys to three-dimensional transport networks. With imaginative visuals, the animation captures Chongqing's journey of transformation in the modern era.

From the halls of the Two Sessions to the streets and alleys of Chongqing, these stories together trace the development path of a city. Openness and confidence are a true reflection of Chongqing in the process of Chinese modernization. And it is the efforts of countless ordinary people that keep this city moving forward.

"Let's Meet" airs every Wednesday and Saturday at 6 PM on Chongqing Satellite TV. It is also simultaneously released on the Let's Meet official WeChat Channels, Bridging News app, iChongqing website, Facebook and YouTube channels, WCICO's global communication matrix platform, and Chongqing Satellite TV's new media matrix.
