Chongqing - On April 21, 2026, the launch ceremony of Experience Chongqing, Seasonal Splendors: Overseas Media Chongqing Tour was held at the Chongqing Global Lounge. This year, Chongqing will roll out 10 major media exchange activities under the program, extending a warm invitation to global journalists to visit, explore, and help tell the story of Chongqing.

Organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, the program is structured around the four seasons with themed events designed to offer a comprehensive, multi‑dimensional portrayal of the city’s progress in building a modern new Chongqing.

Spring Vitality: Chongqing Enterprises Going Global – Overseas Media Chongqing Tour – invites overseas media, Hong Kong business delegations, and industry/commerce representatives to showcase Chongqing’s industrial strengths and its integration into global industrial and value chains.
Walking in China · Seeing Chongqing – Overseas Chinese- Language Media Chongqing Tour – engages global Chinese‑language media to explore southeastern Chongqing, building bridges for effective communication and deep ties between Chongqing and overseas Chinese communities.
Summer Dynamism: Innovation for the Future – Overseas Media Chongqing Tour – focuses on new quality productive forces and the construction of an intelligent connected new‑energy vehicle hub, inviting international mainstream media and overseas influencers to decode the city’s “smart development” secrets through on‑site visits and online engagement.
Global Media Innovation Forum – International Media Chongqing Tour – brings together global media elites for in‑depth discussions on innovative paths for international communication, strengthening media cooperation.
Tracing the Origins of Yangtze Civilization –Overseas Media Chongqing Tour – invites international media to visit cultural landmarks in Chongqing to trace the historical roots of the Yangtze civilization and showcase the unique charm and modern essence of Bayu-culture.
International Influencers Explore Chongqing – invites well‑known overseas online influencers to experience Chongqing, leveraging their reach to present the city’s unique landscape, urban character, and vibrant local life from a youthful, international perspective.
Autumn Splendor: New Horizons of Connectivity – Overseas Media Chongqing Tour – focuses on the New International Land‑Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC) and other open platforms, inviting foreign media to see firsthand the emerging image of Chongqing as an inland opening‑up highland.
Overseas Media Explore China · Chongqing Tour – a series of interview activities centered on “expanding domestic demand to boost consumption and investment,” exploring Chongqing’s consumer markets and key projects to demonstrate the strong vitality of its economic development.
Winter Warmth: People-centered Development – Overseas Media Chongqing – focuses on key areas of people’s welfare, inviting foreign media to visit communities and connect with residents, highlighting Chongqing’s urban warmth and commitment to improving quality of life.
In addition, regular tours and events for overseas media will be held throughout the year to sustain the bridge for international exchanges.
At the ceremony, representatives of foreign journalists, Hong Kong reporters, and overseas Chinese media shared their impressions and expectations of Chongqing’s economic and social development.
Chen Lin, President of Canada’s SOLO Magazine, shared his observations from a recent tour of southeastern Chongqing as a part of the Walking in China · Seeing Chongqing – Overseas Chinese- Language Media Chongqing Tour initiative. “From the magnificent landscapes to the distinctive ethnic customs, from well-preserved traditional culture to rapidly developing urban and rural areas — every stop and every exchange gave us a genuine, in-depth, and profound experience,” Chen said.

Chen noted that overseas Chinese media play an important role in international communication. “We will continue to follow and promote Chongqing, serve as a bridge between China and the world, and tell the stories of Chongqing and China well,” he said.
The initiative, Experience Chongqing, Seasonal Splendors: Overseas Media Chongqing Tour, aims to enhance Chongqing’s global visibility and reputation while fostering international media exchange and economic, trade, and cultural cooperation.
