Old Chongqing, New Vibes: A Cultural Journey through Chaotianmen·Chengli

Chongqing - On the banks where the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers meet, a new chapter of urban renewal has officially unfolded. On April 30, Chaotianmen·Chengli, a landmark project by Chongqing City Investment Group and Longfor, opened its doors, inviting the world to experience the city's pulse through a lens of "Old Chongqing, New Expression."

In a vibrant new vlog, host Li Jingling and foreign experience officer Daniel took viewers on an immersive tour, proving that this is far more than just a shopping destination—it is a "cultural living room" for the city.

The duo's journey began on the mall’s panoramic balcony, which offers a stunning view of the river confluence and the Chongqing Grand Theater. Captivated by the skyline, Daniel could not stop filming. "I really want to bring my parents here to see this," he remarked, moved by the blend of natural majesty and urban energy.

The heart of their exploration was the Daqi Teahouse, a space that feels like a time capsule. Surrounded by traditional ink-wash paintings, wooden furniture, and the aroma of gaiwan tea, they watched mesmerizing Intangible Cultural Heritage performances, including "Face-Changing" and Kung Fu tea. "The cultural atmosphere here is so thick," Daniel shared. "It's the perfect place for newcomers to truly understand the soul of Chongqing."

Host Li Jingling emphasized that the project aims to turn a tourist "stopover" into a deep-dive destination. "We are bringing traditional crafts like embroidery and lacquerware out of museums and into daily life," she noted during the tour.

By blending "first-store" economies with local heritage, Chaotianmen·Chengli has set a new standard for urban renewal. It is a place where history isn't just remembered—it's lived, felt, and shared with the world.
