Chongqing-The first all-English international broadcast program in Chongqing, the 207th episode of "Let's Meet," titled “Vloggers in Chongqing: Follow Ahmed to Experience Chongqing's Craziest Transport”, jointly produced by the Western China International Communication Organization and Chongqing Satellite TV, will be aired on both domestic and international media on May 2.

Ahmed Elseny is from Egypt and is an active influencer on international social platforms, with more than 1.3 million followers worldwide. After eight years of teaching himself Chinese, he now speaks fluent, natural Mandarin. What makes Ahmed different from many other creators is the way he sees China — through a foreigner’s eyes, but with genuine local understanding. He explores Chinese cities and everyday life with curiosity, warmth, and attention to detail. In this episode, Ahmed Elseny has arrived in Chongqing to experience this mountain-built city firsthand. Let’s follow the camera to witness his journey in the mountain city.
In Chongqing, roads are never just roads — they’re part of the city’s famous “8D transportation” landscape. Taxis, known for their swift and aggressive driving style, are jokingly called "yellow Ferraris." They race up and down the mountain city’s steep slopes and winding streets, turning every corner into a thrill and every ride into an adrenaline rush. This sense of speed and intensity has become one of Chongqing’s most distinctive urban symbols. To experience the true speed and excitement, Ahmed headed to Chongqing’s professional auto and motorcycle park to try professional go-karting, where he got to unlock a taste of what locals call “Chongqing speed.”
Ahmed first noticed the speed of Chongqing, but his subsequent experience revealed the three-dimensional and innovative nature of the city’s transportation system. He started at Hongyancun Station, experiencing deep underground spaces, long escalators, and a “metro marathon” style of commuting, feeling the depth of the city’s underground. Then he arrived at Liziba Station, observing the iconic scene of the monorail passing through a building. Next, he went to the Huangguan Escalator, gaining a direct sense of the length of Chongqing’s escalator system. Finally, he experienced the Yangtze River Cable Car, further exploring the three-dimensional layout of Chongqing’s urban transport.
After experiencing the magical "8D transportation" in Chongqing, Alex and Ahmed chose to explore the city from a more grounded, intimate angle. This time, they hopped on an electric scooter and moved through Chongqing by night. From the roads to the streets, they rode, wandered, talked, and explored — getting a look at what this city feels like when it slows down.

As a foreign blogger who has lived in China for years, Ahmed not only focuses on Chongqing’s iconic transport landscapes but also deeply observes the city’s daily life and details. During the interview session, he shared his perspective on Chongqing based on his own experiences. He said that Chongqing is a young city, and its people are very warm and hospitable — it is a city that makes people feel at home.
