Chongqing - On July 8, ZXMOTO signed a cooperation agreement with CMCU Engineering Co., Ltd. to develop a new motorcycle research, development and manufacturing base. Once completed, the facility will be capable of producing up to 500,000 motorcycles annually.

After winning the championship at the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) in March, ZXMOTO saw rapid growth in brand influence, orders and production capacity. In June, its monthly output exceeded 10,000 motorcycles, creating higher demands for future large-scale production.

Located in Liangjiang New Area, the new 500,000-unit-per-year R&D and manufacturing base will integrate mass production, intelligent manufacturing and premium brand display. Its production system will be designed to support product upgrades over the next decade. The project marks a key strategic step in ZXMOTO’s ambition to build a world-class motorcycle brand.

As the project designer, CMCU Engineering Co., Ltd., said it has extensive experience in the planning, design and implementation of automobile and motorcycle intelligent manufacturing parks. The company will assemble a professional team to develop a leading modern smart motorcycle manufacturing park tailored to the project’s needs.

ZXMOTO founder Zhang Xue said CMCU Engineering Co., Ltd., has strong design capabilities and technical expertise, which will help ensure the new base is completed with high standards and efficiency, laying a solid foundation for the company’s large-scale and premium development.

Meanwhile, ZXMOTO is accelerating its expansion into overseas markets. In April, the company’s overseas orders reached the equivalent of its total orders for the previous year. In June, more than 200 units of its 500RR models were shipped from Chongqing to Poland, marking ZXMOTO’s first batch export of complete motorcycles to the European market.

Paul, Sales Director of ZXMOTO, told WCICO reporter that the company’s overseas sales team has targeted the highly competitive European and U.S. markets for high-performance motorcycles since its establishment.

With multiple WSBK victories, ZXMOTO has gradually gained access to European market. Paul said overseas dealers who previously showed limited interest became more proactive after the company’s championship wins, with many reaching out to seek exclusive agency partnerships and place orders.

“They were afraid other companies would secure the exclusive agency rights and they placed orders immediately,” he said.

In addition, ZXMOTO’s championship-winning model 820RR is preparing to enter the European market. Paul said, “in the future, I will think early next year, customers will see this model in the European market.”
