Chongqing – In the summer of 2025, a collaborative production team from the Western China International Communication Organization and Danish music producer Rasmus Hedegaard ventured across nine provinces and regions in Western China, immersing themselves in the daily lives of ten ethnic groups to create the documentary series Western China's Melody. By blending the soul of ancient folk songs with the pulse of modern electronic beats, the series brings to life a musical journey that allows the world to hear the most authentic and heartfelt heartbeat of Western China.
Over the vast Qinghai, Tobshur melodies roam with the long winds. Despite his physical absence, Hedegaard's music travels to Delingha to witness the boundless freedom of nomadic life under the starry sky. Fleeting joys and sorrows are transformed into an eternity that defies oblivion, depicting humanity's most profound perception of time through music.
