From The Rap of China 2026 to Chongqing: BikaBreezy Finds Her Sound in China

By NATALIA VAKHRUSHEVA|Sep 14,2026

Chongqing Kazakh artist BikaBreezy has returned to China with her new album, “Sixth Sense,” with Chongqing as the first stop on her tour.

BikaBreezy first came to China in 2019. At the time, she never imagined the country would become such an important part of her music career.

That connection took a new turn in 2025, when a musician from Chengdu contacted her about a collaboration. They wrote and produced music together, eventually opening a door that led BikaBreezy to “The Rap of China 2026.” The show introduced her to a much wider Chinese audience and gave her a platform to share Afro music with Chinese listeners.

Her latest album, “Sixth Sense,” reflects another side of her artistic vision. BikaBreezy said she does not want to pursue music simply for fame or followers. Instead, she hopes her work can inspire people to trust their intuition and reconnect with themselves.

Chongqing has become part of that journey. She has visited the city five times and sees it as a distinctive mix of global influences and Asian character. Her connection with the city also appears in “Bashi,” a song named after a popular Sichuan-Chongqing expression meaning comfortable, enjoyable, or wonderful.

Beyond music, she described her time in China as personally meaningful.

“Honestly, in China, I’m healing,” she said, pointing to the country, its people and their hospitality.

Now, with Chongqing opening her “Sixth Sense” tour, BikaBreezy is continuing a musical journey that began with a first visit to China and has since taken her to one of the country’s biggest music stages.
