Come the end of spring and the beginning of summer, about-0.67-square-kilometer mulberry trees at Sanpin Village, Damiao Town are ripe, kicking off the summer picking season of Tongliang District and drawing a lot of tourists for the picking and tasting experiences.
Every year, a mulberry picking and sightseeing festival is held here. Every festival is very popular, and this year will welcome the ninth version. Located in Yuqingshan National Forest Park, Tanhong Village boasts more than 80 percent forest coverage, a tea planting area of more than 4.33 square kilometers, and a Moso bamboo growing area of more than 4 square kilometers.
Based on local natural resources such as tea mountain, flying spider-monkey tree fern forest, and distinctive commercial fruits, Tanhong Village has focused on developing plucking tea leaves, hand-made tea, picking fruits, and other forms of experience-oriented tourism, as well as outdoor camping and different kinds of leisure tourism.
