Explore Possibilities in Contemporary Lifestyle Design Exhibition

Chongqing- The Contemporary Lifestyle Design Exhibition launched in downtown Chongqing allows the audience to experience the numerous possibilities of interior architecture.

The exhibition in Jiangbei District is composed of seven parts, with displaying space installations built by 12 award-winning interior architects, art chairs developed by 22 well-known artists, 36 life scenes, and nearly 100 valuable collections. It is free and available to the public through January 3 of next year.

Both the beautiful chairs made by modern artists and the classic chairs built by worldwide masters are on display in the particular exhibition area.

Among them is the world's first steel pipe chair "The Wassily chair," the world's first integrated molding "Panton Chair," the "red and blue chair" that pays respect to the abstract art master Mondrian, and the super internet-famous "Chair One."

Twenty artists from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts and Southwestern University's School of Fine Arts also contributed art chairs to the exhibition.

The "Old City Memory" display section depicts the history of Chongqing with 582 priceless pictures from the book "Chongqing Old City," which was released in 2010 by the prominent historical and cultural expert He Zhiya.

Shao Changyi, a professor at the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, uses hand-painted sketches, hand-made models, and 3D-printed models to recreate the stories of the neighbors in the old courtyard in the Yuzhong district. This section gives the audience a peek at a city's development history and people's lives.

It displays space concept installations created by 12 interior designers in the space installation area, such as Feng Huanhui's "Reconstruction of Order," Tian Ailing's "World Worth," Zhou Zijian's "Outside the Window, A Cloud," and others. They strive to motivate individuals to choose a better way of life by utilizing the power of space design.

It's worth noting that the Spectator Thinktank and Jinwa Award collections are on display in the collection exhibition area. It includes over 50 historical architectural models and related drawings, photos, and documents, such as Zhang Yonghe's "Jishou Art Museum" and Zhu Pei's "Imperial Kiln Museum," among others.
