Dropping since 1907, the Times Square Ball is the iconic symbol that lives atop One Times Square.  This year, it is the second time that Chongqing City was ringing in the New Year with the countdown to the ball drop in Times Square of New York City. With “China Chongqing” appearing on the switch that signals the descent of the New Year’s Eve Ball and the wonderful Tongliang Dragon Dance amazing the revelers in Times Square, the city of Chongqing walked into the international spotlight. Also, the coverage just made the momentum even stronger.
