At 10:00 a.m., December 28, the 11th Huangjueping New Year Art Festival kicked off in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, China.

Covering a wider range with greater influence, this event has 27 sub-events in 7 categories for visitors. There were painting, Chinese calligraphy, photograph, singing and dancing, symphony, movies, comics, and animation.

“Exhibitions, performances, virtual technologies experiencing, competitions and other events satisfied people’s diversified cultural demand,” said a principal of the Festival. It aims to celebrate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up of China and demonstrate artistic achievements during this period. To fulfill these objectives, the Festival spared no effort to exert appeal and show the charm of art. Meanwhile, it seamlessly combined art with life, establishing a platform integrating visiting, shopping, appreciating and playing for visitors. In addition, there were diverse cultural interactive activities targeting people of all ages.
The Festival introduced market-based measures to promote public consumption in culture and art, realizing a profit of artworks.
At the opening ceremony, winners of the “Being Proud of Huangjueping” competition got their awards. And the Culture Committee of Jiulongpo District signed investment attraction agreements with several enterprises on site.
