As a joint initiative by 50 public, private, and university art museums from the Chengdu-Chongqing region, the alliance's members have agreed to uphold the principles of "equality, friendship, resource sharing, and mutual development."
At the alliance's inaugural conference, the participating museums released the "Chengdu Initiative of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle Art Museum Alliance," which outlined their commitment to public cultural services, inter-museum exchange and cooperation, and resource integration.
The initiative also emphasized promoting high-quality public cultural services and art collections and facilitating academic research and scientific management. Through innovative cooperation models, the museums aim to expand their collaborative areas, deepen cooperation, and achieve a win-win outcome for all members.
The conference also invited 18 museum directors and curators to participate in three roundtable discussions, where they explored the topics of "Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor and Public Art Museum Construction," "Public’s Contribution in the Chengdu-Chongqing Art Museum Industry," and "Art Museums and University Education."
They exchanged ideas on the current state of the museum industry, discussed challenges and opportunities for future development, and deliberated on the mission and responsibility of the alliance in establishing an industry communication platform.

The alliance is expected to enhance the aesthetic literacy of the citizens in the dual-city economic circle, promote the development of public aesthetic education, and jointly promote the prosperity of the Chengdu-Chongqing art industry.
