Dagu Glacier has an altitude of 4,860 meters, while the top of the Three Gorges is 1,388 meters above sea level. Can you imagine what it feels like to enjoy a concert in two places simultaneously?

On July 5, a concert was held simultaneously on the top of the Three Gorges and Dagu Glacier.

The audience gives thumbs-up to the concert

The concert kicked off with The Song of Yangtze River, performed by young pianist He Jie. When the magnificent music sounded, the audience highly praised his performance both on-site and online.

Later, He Jie played a piano solo, The Yellow River, and other classic pieces on the top of the Three Gorges. He Jie was born in Fengjie County, Chongqing. He feels proud to perform in his hometown. It is an extraordinary experience for him. At a gateway to the Three Gorges, Fengjie is known as the "City of Poems" as numerous renowned poets created masterpieces in the county. On the top of the Three Gorges, the female solo Dream in Colorful Clouds depicts the beauty of nature, culture, and the four seasons of the Three Gorges, while the male solo Departing from Baidi City in the Morning displays the long history of Fengjie and the beauty of the poem of the same name.

Dagu Glacier is an oceanic glacier in the northernmost latitude of China. It is a garden of glacial relics, with growing glaciers in infancy, the nearest glacier to the metropolis, and the most accessible modern oceanic glacier. Besides, it is the youngest of all glaciers that are more than 100 million years old, with the lowest altitude and the largest area in the world. It is also known as "Minor Switzerland in West Sichuan," which has attracted many young tourists. Through the male solo Freeze Over, the audience could feel the natural and cultural charm of Dagu Glacier and its beauty in different seasons.

Artists from the two places perform one after another

An unusual concert was staged on the top of the Three Gorges, 1,388 meters above sea level. The piano was carried up the hill by ten people. On the 4,860-meter-high Dagu Glacier, artists faced the challenge of high altitude. The concert was broadcast live via the Internet from 10:00 a.m. on July 5, receiving many views and likes.

It will also become the focus of Chengdu-Chongqing cultural and tourism integration this year.
