Chongqing - Technological innovation catalyzes social development, with technology transfer bridging the innovative research and commercial market. 

As an important event of the Mingyue Lake·π Global Innovation Conference that was held on August 23, the International Science and Technology Innovation and Technology Transfer Cooperation Forum has invited international guests to share insights and experiences in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area, advancing global technological cooperation.

"Israel stands out as a beacon of innovation prioritizing education and scientific research," said Han Jun, Vice Director of the China-Israel Research Center on Innovation Cooperation Strategy and former technology counselor of the Chinese embassy in Israel. 

Han shared Israel's remarkable journey in technology transfer, spotlighting aspects of operation, intellectual property, profits, and regulations.

The China-Israel (Liangjiang) Industrial Park in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area, specializing in the bio-medicine sector, exemplified the symbiotic relationship between Chongqing and Israel. Han believes there is great potential for Chongqing and Israel's collaborative strides in technology and scientific innovation.

Shermaine Chee, Deputy Director of International Collaboration and Strategic Partnerships of Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), underscored Singapore's pivotal role in the global tech landscape. 

She introduced Singapore's support program for technological innovation, highlighting the inclusive nature of its digital economy development without making any circle fall behind. 

The Sino-Singapore ICM Joint Innovation Development Fund (JIDF) plan emerged as a landmark initiative in the field of communication between Chongqing and Singapore, forging mutual governmental support and driving cross-border cooperation, leading to the birth of an innovation-rich ecosystem. 

The program aims to harness business and innovation opportunities in China and Singapore and create partnerships for companies to expand to Southeast Asia and facilitate cross-border digital trade. More than 100 projects have applied for the plan, 20 of which have been selected into the support list.

Xie Jihua, General Manager of Yangpu Venture, believes the origin of technological innovation is the universities and research institutes, while the enterprises should play the central role. 

Echoing this sentiment, Xia Jiangping from Continental Automotive illuminated the realm of intelligent traffic facilities and artificial intelligence, showcasing the company's innovative moves and solutions, especially in cooperative autonomous driving.

From the academic realm, Adelaja Israel Osofero, Associate Professor of the School of Engineering at the University of Aberdeen, is confident in the boundless potential of global technology cooperation. 

He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in technology creation, coupled with meticulous consideration of IP protection and legal frameworks. Highlighting the pivotal role of talent, Osofero envisaged Chongqing as a talent magnet, fostering an environment ripe for diverse modes of collaboration.

As the innovation conference organizer, Mingyue Lake Collaborative Innovation Zone in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area emerges as a crucial innovation hub, with a burgeoning 142 municipal technological enterprise incubators and 108 global innovative institutions. It stands as a testament to the realization of a robust and high-quality technology transfer system.
