Chongqing - The 2023 Smart China Expo (SCE 2023) is underway at the Chongqing International Expo Center from September 4 to 6. This year's SCE has brought together major global players, including automotive giants, technology cross-border enterprises, communication leaders, and energy corporations, to present their state-of-the-art technologies, innovative accomplishments, and the latest applications.

Among the international pavilions, the Italian Pavilion stands out with the participation of 11 Italian companies. These companies have been actively contributing to various industries, strengthening the bonds between Italy and China. 

In the automotive sector, Chongqing ASK Automotive Electronics showcased its expertise in producing automotive speakers, entertainment wiring harnesses, and 4G and 5G antennas. Their products are known for their technological prowess and sensitivity, meeting customers' demands.

Automotive Technical Service (ATS) is another notable participant, exclusively designated by the Republic of San Marino's Homologation Authority. ATS focuses on testing and certifying vehicle components, technical parts, and electronic systems, ensuring compliance with ECE and EU regulations.

SAIC Fiat Powertrain Hongyan Co., Ltd. (SFH) is a significant player in producing high-tech, low-emission diesel engines in China and is also a driving force in the industrial engine sector.

General manager Giovanni Violano introduced that SFH debuted at the Italian National Pavilion with an FPT electric axle and further promoted its CURSOR13 GBVI engine, ATS, showcasing the product strength of SFH based on advanced technology from FPT Industrial in all aspects: from SCR to HI-eSCR, from GBIII to GBVI, from diesel to new energy.

Fagima, specializing in machine tools production since 1973, presented innovative machinery driven by research, technological expertise, and a deep commitment to market requirements.

Guala Closures, a global leader in producing closures for alcoholic beverages, wines, water, and more, is relocating its production facility from Beijing to Sichuan, emphasizing its commitment to the Chinese market.

Chongqing Jundong Cars, an authorized dealer for prestigious brands like Maserati and Ferrari, is at the forefront of promoting Italian automotive excellence in Chongqing.

Roboris, founded in 2001 in Pisa, showcased their Eureka Virtual Machining software, a cutting-edge solution for simulating CNC machines and robots. They have a representative office in Suzhou, China.

SAMAC, established in 1975, designs custom intelligent assembly and testing systems for various industries, including automotive components. In 2021, they founded a wholly-owned subsidiary, Changzhou SAMAC Smart Automation Manufacturing, in Jiangsu Province.

STMicroelectronics, an innovator in semiconductor technology, presented its collaborative efforts with over 200,000 customers and numerous partners, developing solutions to meet global sustainability demands.

Sparkle China, established in 2004, specializes in consultancy and promotion of renowned Italian and European brands, including Piaggio.

Vimar, a leader in the low-voltage electronic and electrical sector, has a global presence through over nine commercial branches, focusing on high-performance solutions, technological innovation, and contemporary designs.

The participation of these Italian companies in the SCE highlights the ongoing collaboration between Italy and China, fostering technological innovation and exchange across diverse industries. The SCE 2023 continues to serve as a platform for global industry leaders to showcase their expertise and contribute to advancing intelligent sectors.
