Chongqing - The Consulate General of Australia in Chengdu has actively organized enterprises from down under to participate in the 2023 Smart China Expo (SCE 2023) for six consecutive years, further promoting cooperation between Australia and Chongqing in the field of the digital economy as a result. This year, Australia has invited the two corporate giants Telstra and Tianqi Lithium to showcase their latest innovative technologies.

Telstra has been ranked among the top global 500 companies according to Fortune Magazine, is currently the 13th largest telecommunications company in the world, and stands among the most powerful telecommunications operators in the Asia-Pacific region. 

International partnerships satisfy domestic needs

As the sole collaboration partner of Telstra in China, Telstra-PBS is the only joint venture communications service provider in China. Established only in 2008, it already possesses a comprehensive range of business licenses in fields such as Internet data centers, Internet access services, domestic multi-party communication services, and cloud collaboration.

As the first full member of the China Cross-border Data Communication Industry Alliance, with over 2,000 PoPs network nodes worldwide, it can assist enterprises to quickly establish secure and functional communication networks and provide information services for domestic automobile manufacturers striving towards global operation.

Tianqi Lithium is a global leader in new energy materials with lithium production at the core, and its business activities cover all the main stages of the industry chain. These include the extraction of lithium ore, processing, and the sales of lithium concentrate and other related chemical products.

The company has located lithium resources across China, Australia, and Chile and has established partnerships with international customers thanks to an integrated global industrial chain. As a result, they have made an important contribution to electric vehicles and energy storage industries, as well as to the long-term sustainable development of lithium-ion battery technology.
