Chongqing - In mid-August, a profoundly significant and nostalgia-filled art exhibition began at the Chongqing Art Museum. It is the Dai Ze's Return to Hometown Art Exhibition.
Mr. Dai is a representative figure of the second generation of modern Chinese oil painters. He was a founding figure in the education of modern Chinese art and a mentor to many talents in the Chinese art world. Throughout his life, he remained deeply rooted in the realities of Chinese society, creating numerous artworks that resonated with the people and reflected the spirit of the times.
In his paintings, one can admire his remarkable artistic talent and impressive painting skills and feel profound love and nostalgia for his hometown.
As a Chongqing native born in Yunyang County, Dai Ze spent his formative years at the Art Department of National Central University (now A Campus of Chongqing University), which led Dai Ze on the path of discovery into a life of artistic pursuits.
The curator of Chongqing Art Museum, Wang Farong, introduced the artworks in the exhibition. Wang believes Dai Ze has always had a strong affection for his hometown, and the landscape of Chongqing nourishes his art.
