Chongqing - Automotive Intelligence and Control of China (AICC) has chosen Western (Chongqing) Science City for its intelligent connected vehicle software R&D center, advancing Chongqing's goal of developing a trillion-yuan industry in intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs) and new energy vehicles (NEVs).

Following the recent signing, AICC is set to relocate entirely to Western (Chongqing) Science City. Plans are underway to establish the intelligent connected vehicle software center, including three key areas: an R&D center, a commissioning center, and an intelligent computing center. These facilities will focus on various technologies, from ICV computing platforms to vehicle control systems and adaptation testing.

Yuan Lidong, general manager of AICC's Chongqing branch, highlights the city's robust industrial base and strategic position within the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle as critical factors for investment. 

By 2028, AICC aims to assemble over 350 ICV industry experts, secure at least 200 invention patents and software copyrights, and establish Chongqing as a hub for R&D in intelligent connected technologies.

Founded in July 2020, AICC focuses on creating innovative computing platforms for ICVs, establishing industry standards, and becoming a top player in the ICV sector.

In 2022, AICC expanded its presence in Western (Chongqing) Science City, establishing a subsidiary in Jinfeng Software Park to concentrate on various ICV technologies, including computing platforms and vehicle cloud collaborative computing.

The Western (Chongqing) Science City has become a magnet for the ICV and NEV sectors, attracting over 40 related companies. These firms span various aspects of the industry, including vehicle manufacturing, key components, and charging infrastructure. 

Chongqing is committed to fostering a green, low-carbon, and innovation-driven environment, becoming a distinctive manufacturing hub for ICV and NEV industries.
