Luzhou Port, situated in Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, China, strategically occupies the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, serving as the largest port in Sichuan and one of the 36 major inland ports in China.

Designed with an annual throughput capacity of 255,000 standard containers and 1.76 million tons of heavy and miscellaneous cargo, Luzhou Port boasts handling capabilities for individual items weighing up to 120 tons.

Equipped with comprehensive customs supervision and inspection facilities, Luzhou Port ensures streamlined customs clearance and provides distinctive multimodal transportation services encompassing road, rail, and water routes. 

Strategically positioned to cater to the entirety of Sichuan province, engage with Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, extend its influence throughout the region, and establish global connections, Luzhou Port aspires to emerge as a central hub for shipping and trade in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. 

In December 2023, a cargo-laden vessel carrying imported corn, among other goods, successfully berthed at the International Container Terminal of Luzhou Port. 

Originating from Brazil, the cargo was transported to Luzhou Port through a newly established sea-river intermodal route. The unloading process was efficiently carried out with recently installed gantry cranes. 

This achievement significantly advances Luzhou Port's transshipment business, particularly for imported grains.
