Chongqing Hosts Global Innovation Conference, Highlighting AI Advances

Chongqing - The 2024 Mingyue Lake·π Global Innovation Conference took place on July 10 in Chongqing's Liangjiang Collaborative Innovation Zone.
A key highlight was the Large-Scale AI Model Innovation Development Forum, themed "AI Driving, Leading the Future," which brought together academicians, experts, and industry leaders.
They discussed local product supply, technology research and development, application innovation, policy support, talent cultivation, and industrial development to promote large-scale AI model technologies and build a robust industrial ecosystem.

The forum included keynote speeches, special events, major releases, and thematic sharing sessions. Highlights included the Computing Industrial Park award, the launch of the 2024 Mingyue Lake·π International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the unveiling of AI large model products from leading local enterprises. Industry leaders shared case studies, insights, and reflections on the "AI+" industry.
"Large-scale AI models based on big data, including supercomputing power, provide new vitality to the digital economy," said Deng Zhongliang, an academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences. "Advanced spatial-temporal perception could be a cornerstone in demonstrating the value of large-scale AI models and big data application."
Kang Guangrong, a Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee member, emphasized the area's promotion of the large-scale AI model industry and digital transformation in manufacturing. Liangjiang New Area leads Chongqing in intelligent transformation projects, smart factories, and digital workshops, providing numerous application scenarios for such AI models.
Kang noted that the area boasts an intelligent computing capacity of 1,800 kilowatts, and facilities like Changan Automobile Computing Center, Cloudwalk Western Computing Center, and Mingyue Lake Computing Center are driving industrial growth.
The two-day event also includes the 2024 Computing Power Internet Conference (Chongqing) and a series of sub-forums on topics such as Computing Power Identification and Computing Power Network, Innovative Applications of Computing Power Internet, and the Development of Cloud-Edge-End Distributed Computing Power.
The 2024 Mingyue Lake·π Global Innovation Conference is co-organized by Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, the China Association of Communication Enterprises, and China's Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance.
