Chongqing - The Chinese Sports Delegation for the Paris Olympics was officially established in Beijing on July 13. The delegation comprises 716 members, including 405 athletes. Several stars from Chongqing are among these athletes, including volleyball player Yuan Xinyue, rhythmic gymnast Ding Xinyi, and track and field athletes He Xianghong and Xu Shuangshuang. In addition, international diving judge Rao Lang from Chongqing will also officiate at the games.

Yuan Xinyue, Volleyball

Born in Chongqing in 1996, Yuan Xinyue has been a standout player since being promoted to the national team by then-coach Lang Ping in 2013. She has been recognized as one of the top ten rising stars by the International Volleyball Federation and has helped the Chinese women's volleyball team secure numerous championships, including the 2015 World Cup, the 2016 Rio Olympics, the 2017 Grand Champions Cup, the 2018 Asian Games, and the 2019 World Cup. In May 2022, Yuan was named the captain of the Chinese women's volleyball team.

Ding Xinyi, Rhythmic Gymnastics

A native of Chongqing, Ding Xinyi studied at Shapingba District No.1 Experimental Primary School and Chongqing No.7 High School before enrolling at Beijing Sport University. Her outstanding performance at the 40th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships earned her a silver medal in the team all-around and a ticket to the Paris Olympics. Ding's future is undoubtedly bright.

He Xianghong, Athletics

Xu Shuangshuang, Athletics
