Qiu highlighted that as the socialist market economy system on the Chinese mainland continues to improve, the advantages of demand from a massive market, the complete supply of industrial systems, and the high-quality labor force and entrepreneurial talent will become more apparent. He added that this means broader development space and more opportunities for Taiwan compatriots, businesses, and youth, enhancing mutual benefits, complementary industrial advantages, and collaboration opportunities across the strait.

Wang Zaixi, former vice president of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS), said, "Deepening integrated development is an important pathway to peaceful reunification between the two sides." He stressed that cross-strait integration should be directional and systematic, encompassing more than just economic integration but also cultural and social integration, especially psychological connections.

Qi Jialin, the chairman of the Unified Alliance Party, said, "Only through frequent interactions and exchanges can both sides enhance mutual understanding." He pointed out that extensive cross-strait exchanges and cooperation are fundamental to peaceful reunification.

Over the past decade, Chongqing has actively promoted cross-strait exchanges across various fields, including economics, education, culture, health, and sports. The city has established platforms like the Cross-Strait Industry Cooperation Zone and organized events like "Chongqing-Taiwan Week."

These efforts have boosted trade between Chongqing and Taiwan from over 10 billion RMB(about 1.38 billion USD) in 2013 to 65 billion RMB(about 8.97 billion USD), with 819 Taiwan enterprises setting up operations in Chongqing.

Qi Jialin shared his impressions of Chongqing, saying, "I have been to Chongqing before, and the rapid development of this city is beyond imagination." He highlighted that Chongqing's swift growth demonstrates the significant achievements of Western development since China's reform and opening-up, calling these accomplishments unparalleled.

He added, "Many Taiwan residents have never been to the Chinese mainland, so we must strengthen exchanges. Only through exchange can they see the reality with their own eyes."
