Chongqing - On August 3, the 1003 World Polo Women's Rose Cup finals took place in Wulong Fairy Mountain, Southwest China's Chongqing. The event offered citizens and tourists a feast of international polo culture, featuring intense polo matches, a stunning horseback fashion show, a lawn concert, and a charity dinner.

The tournament attracted top female polo players from China, Canada, the UK, Singapore, Switzerland, Argentina, Ireland, and other countries, making it one of the country's highest-level women's polo events.
During the finals, players showcased their skill and grace, captivating spectators with the unique charm of polo. After six fiercely competitive chukkas, the UK Rainbow Team emerged victorious, with the Singapore Claremont Family Team and Canada Sunshine Team securing second and third places, respectively.

Argentine Ambassador to China, Marcelo Suárez Salvia, said, "As the world's largest equine exporter, Argentina is providing core support globally, not only fostering the development of polo but also serving as an important bridge for friendship and cultural exchange between China and Argentina. He Qing, Secretary of the Chongqing Wulong District Committee of the Communist Party of China, extended a warm welcome to the polo players from around the world. He emphasized that this year's World Women's Polo Rose Cup Finals mark the inaugural event for the 1003 POLO CLUB in Fairy Mountain. It is a significant event for Wulong tourism as it embarks on a new international journey after 30 years, injecting vibrant energy into the heritage of polo.
The competition venue, Wulong Fairy Mountain, is a stunning location with alpine pastures, lush forests, and snowy landscapes. With an average altitude of 2,033 meters and a summer temperature averaging 26°C, it is an ideal summer retreat and a natural paradise for polo.

Hou Tianbo, Director of the China Equestrian Association's development department, praised Wulong's excellent natural conditions for developing the polo industry.
"This event was a magnificent visual feast. We not only enjoyed the competitive spirit on the polo field but also admired the beautiful scenery of Fairy Mountain. This polo field, situated in a national 5A-level scenic area, offers not only stunning views but also favorable climate conditions, making it perfect for horse breeding, polo competitions, and training," he said.
On August 24, the site will host a public-themed polo event featuring players from prestigious universities, including Oxford, Harvard, and Yale, continuing to enhance Wulong's "Chinese Polo, World Wulong" brand.
